The wisdom of a mother
Today’s “quote of the day” comes from my sister…who became a mother on Mother’s Day this year…just five days ago! When my then-fiancee, now-wife Heather came to visit my family in 2000, we got to talking about our origins. Heather explained that she was a miracle baby, in the sense that her mom had a IUD (a popular birth control device in the 70’s) when she was conceived. My mom was astonished. I too was born around an IUD! While we all marveled at the coincidence, my pithy sister gushed this utterance:
“God bless the IUD babies.”
