My schedule has changed this school year, and I’ve had no office time. Thus, stopping by to post my “daily” quotes has ceased. I don’t know when I’ll get here again, but for now, here’s one to ruminate on.
It comes from the memorial service for John Barnett (a lifetime missionary who died of cancer at 68 last week). His son Glen, a missionary in South Africa currently, spoke and shared this quote from a leader in his mission organization. Although I wish it weren’t true, I find that it is a small source of inspiration when we are going through hard times–success will grow from this pain.
“Spiritual success flows down from the river of pain and suffering.”
