The questions are coming…”What can I get you for Christmas?” If you’re interested in missions, why not check out a book by a missionary about missions? Add it to your wish list on Amazon. It’s also available on Kindle if you prefer the digital format.

November 29, 2009Lifetime Original movies
November 27, 2009Well, I don’t actually watch the channel (honest I don’t!) but we heard a speaker who had a movie made about her life by Lifetime. Liz Murray said…
“Choose a side: resentment or gratitude.”
Big room speaker Reggie Joiner
November 25, 2009Reggie Joiner, a main speaker at National Youth Workers Convention in Cincinatti, said we need to create bridges between parents and youth. Criticizing parents or trying to take their place of importance is never good for kids. He said this cool phrase I want to memorize and recite to parents/kids in the midst of conflict.
“Your relationship with your parent/teen is more important than it feels right now. Don’t disengage.”

November 21, 2009Alcorn and All That You Can’t Leave Behind
November 19, 2009I found a cool quote in Randy Alcorn’s book that connects with my first book’s title.

Stuff Christians Like blog
November 10, 2009Jon Acuff spoke at National Youth Workers Convention in Cincinatti last week. He’s the author of the hilarious blog Stuff Christians Like. Here was a rather poetic musing by him about using humor in our sermons to kids.
“It’s easier to scan the clouds for ideas than to chum the water for sharks.”
